Past President Dick is remembered by his friend and fellow YMASC Past President Jack O. Young (1952 – 1953)
Jack remembers Dick was a wonderful club member with a “sly” sense of humour. Dick was always trying to improve both the club and its members. He made sure all the new members participated in club activities. He wanted to make sure that the educational path of the club was balanced, sales versus advertising. He was interested in bring the best motivational speakers of the time to be guest speakers at the dinner meetings. He also was instrumental in organizing a public speaking course for club members. In addition to the YMASC, Dick was very active in several other business related clubs. Finally, according to Jack, Dick worked closely with YMASC Founder Alec Phare to support Alec’s advertising course.

Dick and his wife Wendy had 4 children, Linda, Jo-Anne, Warren and Stephen.
